Does vision correction hurt?
No. At Loden Vision Centers, you will be very comfortable during your iLASIK procedure. There is no pain during the vision correction procedure. We will numb your eyes with drops alone and give you some medication to help you relax. After the procedure, most people report a slight irritation for a few hours, similar to having an eyelash in your eye. After the procedure, we will send you home to take a nap and then see you in our office the next day for your post-operative visit.

I want to get rid of my reading glasses, can you help?
Yes! Loden Vision Centers is pleased to offer a wide variety of options for patients over the age of 40 who wear reading glasses. For example, our SMART LENS™ is a solution that will, In addition to preventing future formation of cataracts, allow most of our clients to enjoy freedom from glasses (e.g. reading the newspaper, magazines, checking your watch, dialing your cell phone, shaving, applying make-up, reading a menu, reading price tags while shopping, computer work, etc.).

How long does vision correction take?
iLASIK is a state-of-the-art procedure, which requires minimal time for the patient. The actual vision correction procedure lasts under 10 minutes per eye. You are awake and comfortable during this brief out patient procedure. Most of our patients enjoy great improvement in their vision the next day and return to work and most other activities!

How long is the recovery?
Each patient responds differently, depending on age and prescription. Most patients having surgery performed on Thursday or Friday are able to return to work on Monday. Most are able to drive themselves to their first post-operative visit the next morning. Most patients are pleasantly surprised at how fast they can resume normal activities with good vision.
