This decision is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, as your sense of sight is a very important commodity. He offers the very latest technology, personally meets with you, plans your treatment, and provides first class service with the best staff around. You only have one set of eyes and they are precious; trust them to the best Nashville LASIK and cataract expert and the doctor other doctors in the area choose for clients!
Is vision correction safe?
With LASIK a thin flap is created in the outer cornea. This flap is then lifted allowing the laser to sculpt the middle layers of the cornea. The flap is repositioned by Dr. Loden and seals itself into position without the need for stitches.
Does vision correction hurt?
No. There is no pain during the vision correction procedure. We will numb your eyes with drops alone and give you some medication to help you relax. After the procedure, most people report a slight irritation for a few hours, similar to having an eyelash in your eye. After the procedure, we will send you home to take a nap and then see you in our office the next day for your post-operative visit.
I want to get rid of my reading glasses, can you help?
Yes! Loden Vision Centers offers the SMART LENS™. In addition to preventing future formation of cataracts, the lenses will allow most of our clients to enjoy freedom from glasses (e.g. reading the newspaper, magazines, checking your watch, dialing your cell phone, shaving, applying make-up, reading a menu, reading price tags while shopping, computer work, etc.)
How long does vision correction take?
This is a state-of-the-art procedure, which requires minimal time for the client. The actual vision correction procedure lasts under 10 minutes per eye. Most of our clients can go back to work the very next day.
How long is the recovery?
Each client responds differently, depending on age and prescription. Most clients having surgery performed on Thursday or Friday are able to return to work on Monday. Most are able to drive themselves to their first post-operative visit the next morning.
What is my next step?
While vision correction is popular, not everyone qualifies. Your next step is to schedule a free evaluation to determine if you are a candidate. Just call 615-859-EYES (3937) to personally meet with our staff.
