My experience with Loden Vision Center focuses on their new treatment for Dry Macular Degeneration called Valeda. Valeda is not a cure for Dry Eye Macular Degeneration, but a way to slow down the progression of the disease. Because of this treatment, the sight in my left eye has improved from 20/50 to 20/25 and a very large drusen has practically disappeared. Best of all, I can see so much better! I was extremely frustrated by how quickly I was losing sight in my left dry macula eye, but with two thirds of the treatment completed, I am no longer constantly reaching for a magnifying glass or having to ask my husband to read material to me. I now live every day being able to see better! At the start of the Valeda treatment, my goal was to stabilize the eye and stop the progression of the disease. I have received so much more. Dr. Doherty and the staff of Loden Vision Center are superb. If you have dry eye macula, I would recommend finding out more about the product and make an appointment to see if you are a candidate to receive the treatment.

I felt really good about my eye appointment. Everyone was helpful and Dr. Hopkins was very thorough. Ms. Jo Buchanan was especially helpful when I was considering new frames. She was very knowledgeable and I appreciated her expertise.
